Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Florida
Motion to release original documents
We recently faced foreclosure on our house but made an agreement with the mortage holder and the case was dropped. This week, we received a legal document labeled, ''Order on plaintiff's exparte motion to release original documents''. (The mortgage company is the plantiff.) What is this?

It seems as if the original Promissory Note and/or Mortgage was filed in the foreclosure action. Since an agreement was reached and the case "was dropped" they are asking the Court to return the original instruments to them.
