Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Florida
I moved out of a Florida apartment I was sharing with no notice. I had no formal written lease. The other roommate is the only one on the lease. I was paying half the rent and utilities. What if anything do I owe after moving out with no notice?

If you were not on the lease, you have no obligation to the landlord. If you had an oral agreement with your roommate, you may owe him rent and utilities. A lot depends on what the agreement was, and which one of you can convince the court that your version of the story is accurate.
