Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Florida
My neighbor and her life partner (not married) own a house together. He has terminal cancer and is incurring many medical expenses which they cannot meet. When he dies, could they place a lein on the house to pay for the medical expenses?

If you own it as tenants in common, yes.
