Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Florida

''non refundable pet deposit''

I have one pet stain, urine, on the

carpet. I paid $300 pet deposit and a

$2000 security deposit. If the carpet

needs replaced, will the pet deposit

be used first then collect the balance

from the security deposit to pay for

the new carpet?

Re: ''non refundable pet deposit''

Most likely not. The non-refundable pet fee will probably not go toward damages as you would forfeit that regardless. However, review your lease, there may be some information helpful to you there.
