Can you sell a Leased Home?

Facts: I signed a years lease; now decided to sell

my home; have a buyer.

Q. How much notice do I have to give my tenents

before I can sell my home?

A. If you want to terminate the lease, then you

follow the provisions of the lease that deal with

termination and if none, then Fla. law. A year to

year lease under Fla. law requires three months

prior notice to terminate. Check your lease.

If the lease is not properly terminated, the new

owner will take over the property subject to the

remainder of the one year lease.
