Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Florida

Number of Days Notice from Lanlord on Increase

We have a contract to buy the house we are currently leasing. It is not a lease with option to buy. It is a contract for sale of the property to us and we are renting until sale goes through. My landlord told me that our rent is going up and is due at next rent payment. How much notice does she legally have to give us if she is even allowed to increse it? In the contract it states we will pay X amount until the sale goes through.

Re: Number of Days Notice from Lanlord on Increase

This is why attorneys do not give advice over

the phone or internet. In your question you stated

you had a contract to buy and then you stated

you were renting. There is a big difference as

to how you are taking possession. Everything

depends upon the wording of the agreement. You need

to make an appointment to see an attorney who

will review the contract for you.
