Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Florida
I owe only one property (mobile home) and I have homestead exemption. Actually I moved to another place (temporarily) because the house need some repairs and also because I found a job about 150 miles from there.
I am thinking in renting it. In order to keep the homestead exemption...What I am supossed to do? Thank you.

If you do not live there, you cannot keep the homestead exemption. Homestead property must be your primary place of residence. Check the Florida Department of Revenue's website for more information. Regards,
