Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Florida

Owners easements rights

What can I do about my neighbor who grades, mows and looks thru my house window to wave at me as he goes by. He does not live in our subdivision and I own the property easement that is at the front of my subdivision. His property is on the other side of my easement and he pretty well feels he can come and go down my easement because he has a friend who lives behine me who is in the sherrifs dept. See where I'm going! What can I do,,,,I do not contract him to mow my land or grade it.

Thank him for his efforts in mowing and caring for your easement but tell him you will take care of it in the future. If he continues, give him a warning to stop trespassing. If he fails to heed your warning, call the local police and file a complaint against him. This should resolve your problem.
