Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Florida

i paid off my father's house. he wants to deed it into my name. we live in FL. It is homesteaded in his name.

He has a judgement against him, not a lien against the house.

if we deed this into my name, will the judgement go with the house?

No. But you may need to take a form of legal action to establish the judgement does not become a lien on the property.
