Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Florida
I paid my mothers past due property taxes of $6,200.00. She advised me that she was already approved for a loan and would pay me back in a few weeks. To date I have not received my money and probably will not as she has been avoiding me.
I do have all the paperwork showing that I paid her taxes to prevent it from being sold at auction.
Can I put a lien on the property? If not what is my recourse if any? Thank you
