Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Florida
Parents want me to have their property and home when they pass. Is a quitclaim deed the way to go? I do understand in reading the descriptions online that they would be relinguishing all control of said property at present, but is this the right course to take for when they have passed. We do not want them to give up their rights to the property while they are still alive, just after they pass it should be given to me.

No. There are much better methods (Joint ownership. life estate, trust).

No, a quit claim deed is not the way to go. Have your parents consult with an estate planning attorney for help in choosing a better alternative. Regards,
