Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Florida

Partition

Hello. My father left us some property. The estate has been settled. Yet my siblings don't want to sell and I want to sell because I want my inheritance. I have been told to do a Partition suit. Can you tell me about it and what to expect to happen as a result?

Re: Partition

Is the property real property?I assume it is and your siblings have reason to think they will use the property. However, this does't affect your right to file an action to partition(divide or sell) the property.I have filed several of these cases and their are different outcomes. You could lose because you had no legal right to file the action, the other owners buy you out at some agreed price,or the court orders the property to be sold and the balance to be distributed among the beneficiaries. I would suggest you e-mail me the facts and then call me at my office.
