Phone in apartments rentals
Is it true that a landlord must supply at least one working phone jack in any rental dwelling?

I know of no such requirement.

There is no such provision contained within the Florida Statutes. In 22 years of practice, this issue has never arisen.

I don't know. I am not aware of any law the requires a landlord to provide a phone jack or of any law that prohibits a residential lease from making the tenant responsible for the installation of a telephone jack. Work it out with the landlord and good luck. Perhaps some other lawyer will answer your question more thoroughly than me.
