I bought a house in Florida as a retirement home for myself and husband, he had to go into hospital and so I signed power of atorney over to my daughter, they now say that the house is theirs even though i have the deeds, could they sell the house? or would the power of atorney now lapsed.

You can revoke a power of attorney at any time, but you need to make sure everyone know you have revoked it. So you have to tell the bank and anyone else they could show it to. Consult an attorney to get them out of the house.
