Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Florida

Preconstruction

I am under contract for a preconstruction townhouse. I would like to get out of the contract. I just received the operating budget for the year and the amount of HOA fees that I will need to pay. Can I get out of the contract since I have 3 days to cancel once I receive documents like this?

Thanks

Probably not. I doubt that this would be an event that would trigger an opportunity to cancel your Contract. Generally, it takes a material change to the Declaration or By-Laws to allow the buyer to opt out of a Contract.

I would strongly suggest that you meet with a real estate attorney who can review your Contract and advise you as to your situation.
