Prescriptive easement or descriptive deed.
If a person has a prescriptive easement across my property is it required that they file in the courts for a descriptive deed or descriptive easement within a certain length of time. If they do not do this will they loose their right across my land?

Prescriptive easements
It is my recollection that prescriptive easementare ones acquired through use and thereforedo not require the recording of any document.I am not sure how they can be extinguished. I suggest you seek the advice of a real estate attorney in your area.
