Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Florida

In the process of a short-sale. My attorney has asked me to pay for an estoppel letter that we cannot afford, as my husband just lost his job. Is this something the title company should pay for?

Not usually paid for by the title company who has no interest in the matter. It is paid for by the parties, the seller or the buyer or the lender. If the letter is from your lender, there should be no cost for it. You should have your attorney seek a waiver.
