Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Florida

property boundary lines

Plaintiff may be suing because on Feb. 2000 she purchased 1 acre of supposedly lake front property and now she because of an error in either the survey or the county's records the court house computer is showing that her boundary lines are not on the lakefront or canal beside the property, She and husband are professional water skiers and purchased the property for using water and boat and wants to build a boat dock also. They are now wanting to mediate and have filed a formal complaint against about 7 companies and us, individuals. Is there a statue of limitations covering this problem?

Re: property boundary lines

Most claims have a limitations period of some kind or other. More facts are needed to analyze the applicability of statutes of limitation in your particular case. Since you have reason already to anticipate being sued, you should be consulting with an attorney in Florida to prepare your defense. Our office can assist with that.
