Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Florida
I own property on a city owned public road that the developer did not build the road. Now the city is trying to make the property owners pay to build the road. The city is building the sewer system throughout the city. While doing so they repaved approx 25 "private" roads. Does this set some sort of president to where I can go to the city and expect them to pave my road and not charge the property owners?

This is standard practice for a city or municipality to pave a road and assess cost to the owners of the property adjacent to the road in which is being paved. This is typically added to your tax assessment for the following year. They typically place an add in the new paper (legal and approval section) notifying the property owners of what is forthcoming prior to paving.
