I own property in florida but I owe back taxes can I quick claim it to my children

The fact that taxes are owed does not keep you from possibly executing a quit claim deed. Such a deed, however, would not eliminate the tax obligations. Meet with a local attorney to discuss this in detail. Good luck.

You can quit claim the property but the taxes remain an obligation.
