my ex-boyfriend had a debt before I knew him and I put him on my deed to my house. We since broke up and I had him quit claim the house back to me. that was recorded on 4/16/09 and on 4/23/09 a debt collector levied my house for his debt.

First, ignore Mr. Slater. Normally no lien would attach to your home unless the creditor at least got a judgment against your ex and properly and timely recorded it. The timing might also be critical, because of Florida's homestead protection. You need to sit down with a real estate attorney to figure it out.
