Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Florida

Property liens

I want to buy a foreclosed property in Florida for $60,000. I found out the property has two liens on it for over $182,000. I f I buy this house, would I be responsible to pay the liens?

Re: Property liens

If the liens were inferior to the mortgage and the lien holder was named in the foreclosure complaint, then the liens were foreclosed as to this property and would not be due and owing by you. If they were superior or were not named in the complaint then they would still be owing by you. Should you have any questions, feel free to contact me.

Re: Property liens

Maybe not. It's possible you may be able to to work with the lienholders to reduce the amount of the liens. The liens aren't just going to go away, though.
