property question

me and my neighbor share a driveway. most of the driveway is on his property and it has been there for more than 20 years. now he is cutting me off from the driveway. ihave no other way to my house besides the ditch. there is no easement so the property appraisers office says he can do what he wants. is this true?

No. There may be several claims you could make against your neighbor, including an implied easement and an easement by necessity. You should retain an attorney with experience in filing such actions to file suit on your behalf.
