Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Florida
Purchase of Mobile Home w/addition on leased land
I purchased a Mobile Home with an addition 2 years ago. I have done some Improvements to the addition and didnt aquire a building permit and have received a stop work order from the city. When I purchased the home the addition was included in the appraisel. But according to the city the addition is an extension of the property and I do not own it. The owner of the land sold the mobil home and addition to the previous owners as a complete unit. Is this a legal sale of the addition or did I pay for something I cant own. And is there any legal means I can take against the land owner for this? Also what are his/my responsibilities in this code enforcement problem?

I or any attorney would have to read all contracts & permits before a determination could be made. You may have a claim against your seller.
