Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Florida

I'm considering purchasing a condo from Fannie Mae. They will agree to conveying an insurable title but will not guarantee marketability. They will not do anything to correct defects that might show up on the title search, this will be the buyer's responsibility. Is this legal? Is it in my best interest to proceed with this purchase?

You would need to first do your own title search on the property. You can hire an attorney who will run a title report for you. Once you review the report, you can determine the extent of the title issues that need to be cured and make the determination as to whether the property is worth purchasing.
