Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Florida

quick claim

My ex and I bought a house after our divorce.we made a verbal agreement to each other that I would quit claim our marital home to him and he would do the same for me on the house that we bought after our divorce.I did my part and he backed out of his part.there are witness that he told about backing out at the last minute to.He had no intentions of signing over he just wanted to hurt me.He quit making payments on the divorce home.We sold the house and he made off with half of the equity. My question is will i be able to take him to court to recoup my losses.i reimbursed him back all monies out of the divorce home by quit claim deeding my interest over.does a verbal word stand up in court...I need someone who will do this on a contingent...thankyou

Re: quick claim

You are probably stuck. I also doubt if you could find an attorney who would accept the claim on a contingent fee basis.

Good luck.
