Quick Claim Deed

Is it legal to quick claim real property, that you don't own, to another person? This transaction is posted in florida property records.

I do not understand how a person could Quit Claim property they are not titled on. Please clarify, are you referring to someone assuming another's identity? Or someone acting on behalf of another with a Power of Attorney?

If the person is Power of Attorney for the titled owner then yes they can Quit Claim the Deed on their behalf.

It happens. However, a deed, quit-claim or warranty, only transfers the ownership interest of the grantor. If the grantor does not own the property described in the deed, it does not transfer anything.
