Quit Claim Deed
My ex-boyfriend and I purchased a lot of land together at an auction last year. Before we broke up I was tricked into signing a quit claim deed, because I didn't know what it was at the time. My Questions:Can he have the signatures notorized and the deed placed on record without me being present? If not and we go to court over this can he be awarded sole ownership of the land without me actually giving up my rights to it? Thank you in advance for any advice given.

It reduces to a question of proof. Penny wise pound foolish? Seek competent real estate counsel to protect you interests.
