Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Florida

Quit Claim Voided!

I signed a quit claim deed in Omaha, NE, for a house in FL (that I bought with my ex-wife). Apparently, since there were no witnesses, it was not good in FL. My ex-In laws are trying to sell the house (my ex quit claimed it to them). They have asked me to re-sign a FL version. Since my ex did not refinance it (as we verbally agreed) and subsequently been unable to get a home loan for high enough to purchase (I now live in CA), I want to sell the house and split the profit with the ex (or her parents, if she wishes). Where do I stand legally, and do I need legal councel?

Re: Quit Claim Voided!

If you want to share in the proceeds you will need an agreement with them. I suggest you retain an attorney to protect your interests. Good luck.
