Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Florida
I am a real estate agent and about to close on a multi million dollar home, representing the buyer. The buyer told me when we first met that we had spoken to another agent in my office. I told him then to call back that agent. After one month, he called me and said the agent never called him back. I proceeded to work with him and found him a house. After the agent found out that we were under contract, he now wants part of my commission. The company is Coldwell Banker and has a process for such dispute. There is nothing in my contract or company policy that says I did anything wrong. However, my broker is trying to get me to give this agent 27.5% of my commission. I do not agree. I need your help.

You do not present any questions. You need to contact a lawyer in your area. You have a straightforward contract dispute.
Retain counsel familiar with brokerage disputes and contract law. I am both an attorney and a licensed realtor. Good luck.
Did your client sign an agreement with the other Realtor? Sounds like the broker is trying to get you to agree to give the other one a cut. If you are not required to agree (by contract or professional responsibility), then there is no issue. If you are unsure, consult with an attorney.
