Real Estate: Getting security deposi t

We signed a lease agreement about two weeks ago and piad a deposit of 1000 dollars and a 100 dolar application fee. We have waited two weeks and hve heard noting from the condo association board for a meeting to approve us to live there. On 6/10/08 we found our same condo listed on craigslist and we were told by our agent tha we cold still backout if we would like. We did and the realestate broker stated that we not allowed a refund. Is there anyway that we can get our money back? Is there anyway that they could come after us for the entire rent? Swindled in Miami FL
