Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Florida
Realestate Sale when one party is gravely ill
My mother suffered a major stroke and is now unresponsive at the hospital. Both my Dad and Mom wanted to sell their place in Florida but now that my Mom is unable to sign anything how can my Dad go about selling their house?

Your Dad will have to go to court here in California, assuming that is where they live, and ask the court to appoint him as your Mom's "conservator." He will need to retain an attorney to do this. After your Dad's petition is approved, he will then be able to sign real estate and other necessary documents.
