Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Florida

Reasonable vs. Unreasonable Access to Apartment

After living in an apartment for 4 months my landlord felt she had the right to enter my apartment and show it for sale. I denied her that access thinking it was UNREASONABLE for her to do that at this time. She left me alone until now, 7 months into my lease. I tried to deny her access but she was set to come and did, even though I said NO and she showed the apartment. I know I have privacy rights. Do I have to put up with this for the next 5 months? Can I demand certain times that would be acceptable? I do not want her coming here when I am not here. I have nothing to hide, but I feel this is an invasion.

Re: Reasonable vs. Unreasonable Access to Apartment

Access should be by mutually acceptable appointments at reasonable times between reasonable people.

I agree. Advise her in writing that she must schedule entry with prior notice to you so you may be present to protect your property. She must give you reasonable alternative times. You must make reasonable efforts to comply.
