Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Florida
I received a summons notification of foreclosure of my brothers house, owned by him, his ex wife and my mother ( who is deceased) these 3 parties signed the promissory note. Since I am the heir to my mother, and I liable for any costs, and how will this affect me?

The way in which this will affect you is that the estate might lose the property in the foreclosure action, meaning it would not go to you. The plaintiff (the mortgage company) is entitled to recover their costs and attorneys fees, and again, since you are a one third owner (from your description) the payment of the costs will affect you.
