Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Florida
I recently inquired with Wells Fargo about refinancing our mortgage. The mortgage consultant and I emailed each other back an forth for a while. Towards one of our last emails she stated that she could not do anything because of our not having a Wells Fargo mtg originally. I then emailed her an alternative and she stated back let me run some numbers and I will get back to you. The next day, I received a mortgage package by FedEx for a new loan at a reduced payment. The papers included a welcome letter and stated that the documents were for my records, included GFE, etc.. Set closing date of 12/15/10. When I contacted the mortgage consultant, she stated oh, that was just sent automatically by the computer as if there was no loan at all. However, the package indicated a loan number for our property. Would this be something I can legally follow up on?

Have a real estate attorney review the mortgage documents, to see if this is an offer of a loan that you can accept or not.
