i i was recently served with an eviction notice from my apt complex my lease ended april 30 but i couldnt renew my lease due to being incarcerated. I was served a notice to pay rent on may 6 so i paid it however now i am being served an eviction even after paying for a month that i was not supposed to

Prior to the filing of the eviction action, they either filed a three day notice to pay rental or a notice of termination of lease. You fail to specify which notice was provided. If you were a holdover tenant you may have been responsible for double the rental due to the holdover. I suggest you speak with the rental company or seek legal advice with all the paperwork
