recoup court fees and cost of travel as well?

my landlady refuses to return my security deposit, and i have since moved out of miami. if and when i take her to small claims, can i also sue for compensation for expenses in filing and pursuing my claim (ex airfare, hotel, transportation)?

Not unless your lease expressly provides for such a claim.
