Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Florida

can i recover money spent protecting neighbor?

In general, can one recover money spent protecting another's

property or pocketbook?

After the recent hurricane I spent more than my deductible

removing damaged trees which threatened my house and my

neighbor's house, paying a premium to have the tree service

come immediately. I could have done nothing and let them

fall. Quick action saved the insurance company a bundle of

money. The insurer merely says that trees which did not

actually touch the house are not covered and don't count

against the ded
