Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Florida

Relationship Break up, Property Involved

My boyfriend and I are breaking up after 4 yrs. We bought a house, on land contract, last year. He is not very stable in keeping a job. What should I do so I do not lose my investment in the property? If I leave the home, am I considered abondoning it and lose my rights to the property?

Please advise how to handle this situation. Thank you,--

Re: Relationship Break up, Property Involved

If an agreement cannot be reached you must sell the property and share the proceeds. If he refuses you can have the court force the sale by an action in partition. Good luck.
