Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Florida

I rent a house in alachua county florida. My landlord left two cars on the property that he was suppose to move almost two years ago. One is in the garage and one is on the side of the house. The other day my wife took some embers out of the fireplace and dumped them outside. One of the ember did not get put out fully. This started a brush fire which in turn caught the car on the side of the house on fire. Are we as tenants liable for any damages?
