Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Florida
In our rental building, we have an exterminator come once a month. The manager puts a little notice on our doors a few days before.
Today she put a note on our doors that says she’ll no longer be be putting this notice on our doors and it’s now our responsibility to know that the exterminator will come by at some time on the third Thursday of the month and he’ll knock and then “must enter” whether me and my 25 neighbors are “prepared or not”. I’m not home during the day, but if I happen to be on the third Thursday, I can guarantee I won’t be prepared or be thinking about it at all. Most of my neighbors are elderly. They’re supposed to count the weeks and remember or else he’s going to barge into their apartments? This sounds illegal to me.

It is not illegal. Maintenance can be done and regularized time is notice.
It is not illegal. Read your lease and you will find there is a provision in it that covers this. I suspect they will knock first.
