Rental Deposit Agreement

I have a copy of an agreemnet letter that was sent to me AFTER I made a portion of my deposit and I have asked for the money back and they do not want to give it to me.I would like to email you a copy and you tell me if it's legal or not.I never signed or agreed to anything.
