Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Florida

rental increasing

I have been renting a house now from some friends for six months. we had an oral agreement that I would pay 275 dollars a month fort 2 years. in exchange I'de fix the house up, it needed repair. my friends came about this house when their parents recently passed away, whic I add I was helping take care of.when they passed away the friends offered me to stay there and pay the 275 a month for the 2 yrs.,which would cover what was owed on the mortgage. At the end of the 2 years i would move out and they would start renting it for profit. my problem now is the sister of the friend who inheredited half also is saying they have been gracious long enough, and mailed me a letter stating feb first they are increasing rent to 6oo, thats more than twice. it is already jan 12, I dont't now how I will come up with that much extra in so short of time. I'm already short on cash, and on top of that I have made other financial obligations. the sister ordered I start paying the extra 325 as of feb, if I won't agree i am to give them 30 days notice and move out, and the other sister, the one who is my friend is going along. I don't know what to do?

Re: rental increasing

Without going uinto a long explanation, you will have to move or pay the higher rent. I suggest, the most economical way is to agree with the owners to a mutually acceptable date for you to vacate the premises. Thirty days seems quite fair.
