rental lease

I just sign a lease. I had a verbal agreement with the agent about when to deposit my check. She agreed. Same day she made the deposit. Causing us overdraft fees and after she told me she wouldn't tell the lanlord she did. Making us look bad. I do not want to deal with this lady anymore. I also signed my husbands name to the lease in front of her. What can I do to get out of this mess. She says we are in default.

Unless you were authorized to sign his name, he may be able to get out of it, not you.Verbal agreements in real estate mean nothing.
