What do I do if I was rented a home by someone who does not own the home and the house is foreclosed on and I received a five day summons to respond to.

If you have verified this information your remedy is agains the person who falsely rented you the house. Eventually the court will order you out.

You can ask the court for more time.

Respond to the summons and be prepared to move OR work out a payment of rental. Did you receive a proper 3 day notice to pay rental or vacate before the lawsuit was filed? You need to act quickly. Hire an attorney.
