Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Florida

I rented this home starting july 24th of 2010. Since then We have been a victim of home invasion twice in less than three weeks. Both times of which my children were home, and the second time my son chased the robber out. We feel unsafe and forced to move out of this property and feel we should receive some if not all of our money back. I would like to bring him to court and would like some counseling as to how solid my case is and how much an attorney would cost me.
