Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Florida

I rented my house to an acquaintance and she signed a 1 year lease. I did not collect a security deposit or a pet deposit. She moved out after 8 months and left quite a lot of damage none of which the animals were responsible for ( they were better than she was). Ruined carpet, holes in walls, missing fixtures and mowed the yard once in 8 months. What can I do to try to recoup some of the money it will take me to get the house back in order.
