Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Florida
Renters rights for landlord hosting open house
Our landlord has put the property up for sale and wants to hold an open house. They have requested that we clean closets, doors, etc prior. We are clean tenants, but why should I pack my things while we are still living there and paying rent? What is our rights as renters to not invade our personal lives?

You have no obligation to pack your things to accomodate the owner. The owner has the right to show the house if your lease allows it but cannot force you to move your property out in order to do so.
