Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Florida
Hi I am currently renting a place that has mold. I have called my landlord and sent an e-mail with 13 photos. when I spoke to her she told me not to do anything about the mold and said will rent be on time, like she not even concerned. I spoke to the tenant who lived her before me and she asked if they had replaced the carpet and drywall in the staircase cause the ac flooded the stairs. And which they had not replaced. My daughter and I are constantly sick and I am pregnant. They want to send my daughter to a specialist an hour an a half away cause they cant find out why she is sick. I either need to move or have them fix this problem but they have done nothing. What do i do? am I liable to pay rent since they are doing nothing for the mold and I cant stay in my place

You will need an attorney, but there is a Florida Statute that allows you to address this problem If there is a failure to correct, then you may be able to terminate the lease.
