Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Florida

How do I respond to a summon for unpaid homeowners association dues? What should I include in the letter? I am able to pay the fees now but am uncertain of the total amount. Can I call the lawfirm directly or do I only go through the court?

You can call the law firm and ask the lawyer how much is owed. If you pay, they need to dismiss the claim against you -- get that in writing. Your HOA rules may state that you are responsible for legal fees and costs associated with collection.
